Imagine your life as a hallway, a long hallway with many doors and light switches. While standing at one end of the hallway can you imagine the terror and anxiety of seeing the entire scope of what is behind every door, how many bulbs are burned out, the humps in the carpet you might trip over, and even all the people you will encounter along the way?
Hello, overwhelmed! I didn’t hear you come in. The sound of hyperventilating into this paper bag must have drowned out your footsteps when you came in.
As you face this day, know that you can cast all your anxiety unto The Lord because He CAN see the entire hallway, while He only allows you to see what is right in front of you. All He wants you to do is take one step forward, then He will turn on the next light switch so you can see to take yet another step.
Don’t let your fear and anxiety overwhelm you. You’ll be stuck at one end of your hallway for a long long time.
And PS: Your paper bag is ripping from overuse.
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
